Frequently Asked Questions

MCP offers a variety of performances, including plays, musicals, private lessons and theater workshops. 

You can reserve tickets for MCP performances on our website, facebook events or by emailing us at info@matthewcookproductions.com 

All of our shows are free. We want our young performers to perform in front of live audiences and experience the excitment of large crowds, clapping and cheers. 

Yes. Although the entire program is created, managed and executed by high school students, adults are present and supportive in the entire process. Your children are well cared for, supervised and in a healthy and safe learning environment. 

All of our shows have a bag with each performers name on them. At the start of the show, you are invited to write a note or bring a treat to drop into the bag of your favorite performers. MCP starts each bag with a pesonal note from the director and crew, as well as a sweet treat. The rest we leave up to you. 

If you have a family member who is in a wheelchair, they are able to acces the building, stay seated safely and comfortably in thier wheelchair and with thier other family members. 

All participants are encouraged to bring a water bottle. Access to water is available and bottled water is available, as needed. There are no snacks in our short programs that are 3 hours or less. 

Each show is unique and will be customized based on participants and resources. All participants will need to have a base costume and we will take care of the rest. Make up will be provided as indicated, as well as, props. Some participants are welcome to bring in a prop that they believe will help to bring thier character to life, if approved by director. 

All participants tryout. This process and these activies are great skill development and participants get better with practice, practice, practice. All roles are defined and participants will be told exactly when they will be notified. Most cast list will be posted or emailed within 24 hours of tryouts for most shows or even sooner. Each student iis required to accept thier cast offers by the next workshop day. We do NOT oversell our programs.
